Expressing preferences

Put students into pairs or small groups. Give each pair a set of cards face down. Students take it in turns to pick a card for the group to talk about their preferences and dislikes. Encourage groups to discuss the subjects in detail, agreeing and disagreeing, and giving reasons for their views.
